Adding Adbrite Adverts To My Blog

I’ve added an advertising box from Adbrite to this blog just to test out how it works. If I’ve researched correctly, it charges advertisers based on either CPC, CPM or by time. Time meaning that they are charged X amount for a period of days, regardless of clicks or impressions, but at a much higher cost.

Basically what they are doing is if they can’t find an advert to display on your blog, they put their own Adsense code in their advertising space and display in on your site.

That way, they’ll get adsense income, which they partially split with you. Smart idea on their behalf.

To set up your Adbrite advert, head over to their website and register as a publisher. Set up an ‘ad zone’ for your site and design your adverts. My suggestion? Make them look somewhat like your Adsense adverts and make it blend into your site. They’re going to show Adsense adverts anyway, so might as well keep them all looking consistant.

Copy and paste the code they give you into a text widget in WordPress and it should start displaying adverts pretty soon.

dashboardTheir ‘dashboard’ will show how your adverts are performing over time. Just keep driving traffic to your site and if you’ve positioned it correctly, should start to slowly increase.

Let me know how it goes,

  1. I hope you’re adsense/adbrite income isn’t doing too badly. Mine sucks. Haha.

It will get better though, like you said, when traffic just drives through and through.

    Peace.

it’s slowly increasing (Adsense wise) but my Adbrite adverts have failed to show up on my site. Their reason? Network timeout or something like that… no idea why and need to check with them.

Just keep driving traffic to your site and remember to build your mailing list! Much more income can be gotten from the list than through Adsense.

  3. Hi – I have received emails saying my adbrite account is now active – yet I have no adverts on the pages yet – all I have is a banner type at the top/bottom -wherever and it says Ads by Adbrite and then nothing in box apart from the same thing in them all saying

Might be a security issue.. Your best bet is to contact Sebring directly to ask if your adverbs are actually being registered on their system. If not, then ask your programmer to remove it and start e whole process again.

Alternatively, if you would like to hire my programmers, please contact me at info@insidethebox.com.my and we can see what we can do?
