The problem with the world today is that there’s quite a lot of negativity out there. And with the world in a recession, political and civil unrest in many a country, sometimes, I just can’t blame people for that. There really is no upside to their situation, no matter how hard they try.
And for that I’m truly sad.
But for the remainder of us, who aren’t in such a bad way but choose to see things negatively, I question… why?
Let’s face it, there are a lot of us in the middle class. And for those of us in the middle class, although our past may have been hard, it’s the now I want to talk about.
Thinking negatively of situations can only do more harm than good. After all, how many self made millionaires tell you that the key to their success was that they kept thinking that their business would fail? I wager not many.
Thinking positively all the time may come off as naive, but at least it keeps you in the right frame of mind. If you don’t bring it over board and step into the I can never fail zone, then you’re doing fine. Cautious optimism is still optimism and positivity.
So my suggestion to you, no matter how hard your situation is… is to keep a positive frame of mind. And keep reinforcing that point in your mind. Have you got something that when you think of it, it just makes you strive forward to accomplishing it?
As I write this I do, it’s to pay off my dad’s bond with his company so that he can finally retire and move back to Malaysia. That makes me strive forward, for when I am down and thinking that it’s all going bad, I just think of that one thought and I’m good to go.
In fact I sometimes work harder.
So what’s the thought for you? A loved one? Something as simple as getting a new car? Is it to raise money for charity? Well whatever it is, make sure the feeling invoked in you is STRONG. So strong that whatever thoughts of being down and failing you were having before just get completely and utterly washed away.
Good luck with this new way of thinking, it may be hard at first, but soon enough, you’ll be thinking that the sky is the limit.
Positivity rules!
